Greetings from the Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated! Kappa Omega is the first chapter chartered in the South Atlantic Region of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated in 1923. Our legacy is a rich and proud one. Our service to the community, state, nation and the world spans 95 glorious years.
Kappa Omega is home to Mrs. Marie Woolfolk Taylor, one of the original founders of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and first president of Kappa Omega; Dr. Mary Shy Scott, our 23rd International President; Mrs. A. Catheryn Johnson, first South Atlantic Regional Director; Mrs. Sujette Fountain Crank, 4th South Atlantic Regional Director, and Dr. Lucretia Payton Stewart, 13th South Atlantic Regional Director.
As we “Launch New Dimensions of service”, we are touching the lives of children, youth, and adults through our Educational Enrichment, Health Promotions, Family Strengthening, Environmental Ownership, and Global Impact International Programs! It is indeed a pleasure to provide sisterly and exceptional service to all mankind!
Please continue to follow us on our website, Kappa Omega Facebook and Twitter pages to remain current on our activities. Thank you.
